Coach Magenta
I Know What It Costs to Stay Silent.
I spent 58 years being a good woman. A responsible woman. A woman who handled everything for everyone and asked for nothing in return - especially not pleasure.
And then one experience cracked everything open. A sexual liberation that dismantled the story I had been telling myself my whole life. The shame I didn't know I was carrying. The desires I had never allowed myself to name. The woman I had kept locked away because I had never been given permission to let her breathe.
That experience did not break me. It built me.
I became an intimacy coach because I needed the world to know that freedom is possible. At any age. At any stage. For any person who has spent too long disappearing from their own life.
How I Work
My coaching follows the ICF model - which means every session centers you. Your goals. Your timeline. Your definition of what freedom looks like.
We begin where you are. In our first session together, you tell me what brings you here and what you want your life to look like on the other side of this work. I tell you exactly how I work, what coaching is and what it is not, and what you can expect from our time together.
From there, every session opens with what you want to address that day. We explore it together through open-ended, thought-provoking questions that help you hear yourself more clearly - often for the first time. I reflect back what I hear. I follow your lead.
We close each session with your takeaway, your action steps, and your commitment to yourself.
When the work calls for it, I bring in somatic practices and breathwork - tools that help your body process what your mind is beginning to understand. And when a client needs more direct guidance around intimate communication or releasing shame around sexual language and identity, I offer a consulting layer that walks you through concrete frameworks and exercises.
This is not therapy. This is not advice-giving. This is you, finally hearing yourself - and discovering that what you find there is worth celebrating.
Who I Am
Magenta is a Master Certified Professional Life Coach (CLCI/ICF) and Sex Coach serving clients across the Research Triangle and beyond. She holds a Bachelor of Arts from NC State University and a Master's degree in Psychology Research from the University of Colorado Denver, and completes her Sex Coach and Consultant certification this year.
She has been a life coach and consultant since 2019 and brought her full focus to intimacy coaching in 2023 - not as a career pivot, but as a calling.
Her heart beats loudest for Black women, particularly those carrying intersectional identities including LGBTQIA+, neurodivergent, disabled, and chronically ill communities. She built this space because mainstream wellness has spent too long overlooking the full complexity of who these women are.
